Gaga for Mobile & Bo Obama

Start your day off right: with Lady Gaga. Stick with us, we'll take you places in our latest Enterprise Round up!

Gaga for Mobile

Love her or hate her - Lady Gaga is a pop phenomenon with global mass appeal. As we wrote in an article concerning the Material Girl's abandonment of traditional media for MDNA's publicity, pop culture is a sociological litmus test. When major artists start producing transmedia and mobile-focused albums, it's safe to say there is a healthy market for that particular form of communication. Lady Gaga's new ARTPOP project will be more than music. Today, she announced that ARTPOP will be a mobile application, featuring her music, videos, fashion, games and frequent updates by Gaga, herself.

A recipe for innovation...

Salesforce.com and Forbes.com have partnered up to boil innovation down to 3 Ps: people, process and philosophies. The full survey isn't out yet, but the most progressive and forward-leaning companies tend to focus on all three. When it comes to leaders, the survey interviewed and peeked behind the curtain at several prominent companies. Fabrizio Freda, CEO of Estee Lauder and former exec for P&G puts a premium on listening - often spending months visiting different departments around the world, just talking with employees and gauging big picture strategy. Mark Benioff of Salesforce.com loves to network with young entrepreneurs for fresh ideas and a mainline into the future; Jeff Bezos with Amazon.com favors inventive employees. What are you doing to encourage innovation?

Image matters (and so do warm & fuzzies)

Rally.org is an online fundraising platform currently being used to raise money for a number of non-profits, public organizations and political candidates. Both Mitt Romney (R) and President Barack Obama (D) are raising money on Rally. The insights from these campaigns shed light, once again, on how important it is to have a fully realized content strategy for your brand. Nick Warhsaw of Rally.org says donation requests that are accompanied by good quality photography perform significantly better than those requests without imagery; what's more: pet photos tend to rake in the most money. Bo Obama, fundraiser extraordinaire.
