Hosting a Memorable Alumni Tailgate

Posted by Caroline Daley on Sep 8, 2017 9:00:00 AM

Fall is here, and if you're from the south (or anywhere that even remotely follows college sports), you know what that means: football season. Fall means football, and football means tailgating. Tailgating is a fun way to celebrate school spirit and a great excuse to eat and drink with friends and family. Football season also presents the perfect opportunity to connect with alumni by hosting an alumni tailgate. How Marketing Automation Helps Improve Your Alumni Relations

Posted by Tod Meisner on Sep 13, 2016 9:00:00 AM

Football season is back! That means tailgates and re-connecting with alumni when they return to campus. Most alumni associations spend considerable amounts of time during the offseason planning tailgate events. It’s important to be able to reach these important connections in person and update them on the changes at their alma mater. Agency FRONT LINES: Be A Partner NOT A Vendor

Posted by Tod Meisner on Aug 2, 2016 8:00:00 AM

This is the second blog in a series of blogs written by Tod Meisner, our Executive Director of Client Leadership. In the spring of 2016, he attended Second Wind's Account Executive College in Chicago. 4 Reasons your Alumni Association should use inbound marketing

Posted by Megan Anglin on Mar 23, 2016 8:00:00 AM

Alumni associations are being overlooked by many soon-to-be graduates or recently graduated alumni. The influx of social media has lessened the need for an alumni association in many graduates eyes, due to the ease of networking that social media provides. Likewise, many recent graduates or soon-to-be graduates view alumni associations as simply a fundraising tactic rather than understanding all the benefits an alumni association has to offer.

Many universities struggle to attract college seniors or recent graduates when encouraging individuals to join their alumni association due to the common stigma that alumni associations are just for fundraising. Hiring a community manager who is well trained in inbound marketing may be your university's key to alumni association success.

Posted by Piper.vpm on Jun 5, 2013 4:38:13 AM

On Monday, Don discussed how recent grads could stay connected with their universities, but how can universities stay connected with their recent grads? It’s a two way street after all.

A perfect example is Texas Exes, the University of Texas’ alumni organization. They have everything from trips around the world to local events -- heck, you can even create your own wine label through them.

Case Study: How to Engage Students

Posted by Piper.vpm on May 22, 2013 5:45:53 AM

Susquehanna University in central Pennsylvania is obviously aware that students appreciate free...well, anything. They host a “Spring Weekend” at the end of each year to help students celebrate the completion of exams. Ranging from raves to laser tag to carnivals, Spring Weekend at Susquehanna has it all. The rave provides free alcohol, free glow sticks, free admission, a free DJ...I mean, what else could students possibly need to celebrate?
