In our technology evolving world, using visual content is now a vital part of a creating a successful marketing campaign. Visual content helps your company communicate more efficiently with your followers. Since the majority of viewers are visual learners, every single content post on media platforms should include some sort of visual content appeal.

Marketing statistics have proven that your posts will receive more traffic if you’re targeting the visual sense. The importance of visual content has been shown throughout all major media platforms over the years, especially Facebook and Instagram. Let’s take a look at some statistics!


Facebook users are 39% more likely to interact with posts that have include a picture. These Facebook images must be relevant to what you’re trying to convey, but that’s where other websites, such as Canva, can help you out. Creating unique and engaging images to add into your posts that will automatically drive more traffic.

Instagram has been around since 2010, but their popularity is still continuing to sky rocket. According to Instagram, their community has now grown to more than 400 million users. This proves that images and visual content drives more attention than only words them self.

Pictures aren’t the only relevant type of visual content in this day and age. The options are endless. From videos to infographics, posting something that appeals to vision is an automatic attention grabber.

People love to see video. They love it so much so that it’s shaping the future of media. It is predicted that 74% of all internet traffic in 2017 will be in video. The amount of video views on Facebook and other media platforms are beginning to drastically increase.

Infographics have recently become extremely powerful visual media tools. These can make posts more memorable by allowing you to relay your information in an organized, creative and simple way. Infographics are shared a whopping 3x more than posts with other visual content materials.  

As marketers, it’s important to stay on top of the latest media trends in your marketing strategy. Including visual content in all of your posts will allow you to begin the trend and have an advantage over other marketers and companies.
